FOR THE CELEBRATION OF A LIFE

You, your family, and friends will be encouraged to share memories about the life of your loved one.  These memories will highlight various aspects and interests of their life, their character, values, and what made them unique. You can choose to incorporate religious content into your celebrant-led funeral or keep it non-religious.

Typically, the service begins with introductory remarks, often touching upon themes of life and death. A tribute follows, delivered by the celebrant, a family member, or a friend. Readings or poetry may be included to enrich the ceremony, followed by a moment designated for reflection or quiet contemplation. The farewell, known as the committal, marks the conclusion of the service, accompanied by closing words that honour the life of the departed.

Choosing the right type of funeral ceremony is essential, ensuring it resonates with the deceased and their loved ones. A humanist ceremony, for example, respects all attendees, regardless of their religious beliefs, emphasising sincere reflection on the life that has passed without any intent to dismiss religious perspectives.

MUSIC

For most of us, music plays a huge part in our lives. Selected pieces, based on wishes already conveyed by the deceased, or suggested by friends and relatives can be sourced, and then supplied in all formats, both digital and CD.
